Please join us for a conversation on the state of animal agriculture and advocacy for farm animal welfare and rights in South and East Africa with Tozie Zofuka, internationally recognized animal activist visiting New York from Cape Town, South Africa, and Mia MacDonald, executive director of Brighter Green. Tozie will speak about his work on farm animals in southern Africa, his perspective on advocating for animal welfare and rights in Africa, and the development of the Pan African Animal Welfare Alliance (PAAWA), which he chairs. Mia MacDonald will discuss her experience visiting the first egg factory farm in Kenya, which she wrote about in Satya magazine’s recently published 21st anniversary special issue, The Long View.
