Time for a Ginseng Ginger Snap!

By Shelly “Lucky” Stein

Need a little pick-me-up? When you’re down and out, drag yourself down to Lucky’s Juice Joint and shout “Ginseng Ginger Snap! Please.”

Who, why, what is a ginseng ginger snap? It is both a tasty drink and an energy elixir. It is made with equal parts carrot and apple juice, a chunk of ginger to taste, and then blended with vitamin C, ginseng and bee pollen. Sound potent? It is. So, why does Lucky’s use these ingredients?

Bee Pollen is a highly bio-active nutrient known as a ‘superfood.’ It is a full-spectrum, blood-building and rejuvenating substance, particularly beneficial for extra nutritional and energy needs.

Ginger is a warming circulatory stimulant—a catalyst to all formulas where circulation to the extremities is needed.

Ginseng is the most effective adaptogen, or nutritional adapter, of all tonic herbs, beneficial to overall health and capable of stimulating both long- and short-term energy. It has measurable amounts of geranium, which provides energy to all body systems and promotes regeneration from stress and fatigue.

Vitamin C is helpful to take when your body is fatigued. It supports adrenal and iron insufficiencies which can be exacerbated by stress.

Carrots and Apples contain a wide spectrum of vitamins and taste great in freshly squeezed juices.
